My first HR Conference

I spent the last 2 days at my first Human Resources conference. Not only did we survive the Storm of 2009...I learned a lot and was able to take away a lot of information from all walks of people. I did have to laugh a few times at the "fear" that some had for the "millennials" or "Gen Yers". I understand we are a different generation, we like to win, we work hard and play hard, we like to give our time, and we still like to be told that we are special and valued and great...but most of the people "fearing" this group have kids or could have had children that would have been raised in this generation. Who knew the iPod and the Tweet would be so intimidating!
